Yes! We are in network with most major insurance carriers: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, Cigna, Aetna, Louisiana Healthcare Connections and Healthy Blue.

No.  EDC does not diagnose children or adults. We can provide caregivers with a list of diagnosticians in the area. 

EDC provides services to children and adolescents from 18 months to adulthood. 

Pointe Coupee Parish:  Livonia, Erwinville, New Roads, Maringouin, St. Landry Parish

West Baton Rouge Parish:  Brusly, Port Allen, Addis, Plaquemine, White Castle

East Baton Rouge Parish:  Baton Rouge, Ascension Parish, Livingston Parish

Northshore: Madisonville, Covington, Mandeville, Slidell and Hammond areas. 

Pointe Coupee and surrounding areas: Center based services and parent coaching.

West Baton Rouge and surrounding areas:  Center based services and parent coaching.

East Baton Rouge and surrounding areas: One on one in-home and school/daycare based, social skills groups and parent coaching. 

Northshore: One on one in-home and school/daycare based, social skills groups and parent coaching. 

The length of time each student attends therapy differs from student to student. The goal of EDC is to teach your child the skills they need in order to be successful in a classroom setting, social settings or in the home environment.

Depending on the needs of the student will depend on where therapy will be provided. This will be discussed during the initial assessment. We currently provide therapy in the student or caregivers home, daycare, school or community settings. In most cases, a combination of settings is determined to best meet the child's needs to access to generalization opportunities.

A very comprehensive curriculum is used with most students, making speech and language goals a priority and are addressed during each session. In some instances, you may have coordination of care with a SLP. 

EDC typically provides between 10-40 hours per week of Applied Behavior Analysis. The number of hours is recommended based on your child's needs.
